KITTY ON THE QUILT...

Nine months ago a favorite co-worker announced a baby on the way...what a great opportunity to design a quilt.  After a while I learned it was going to be a girl so I put pencil to paper and started to draw!  Here is a close-up of one section:

I hand appliqued the entire quilt and then machine quilted it.  A very happy cat sunning himself in the garden.

I have a bit more quilting to do in the blue section...but Tabitha had a beautiful baby girl and I wanted her to see the quilt...so I put on the binding a little sooner than I normally would have.
This is the first time I designed a quilt myself and it has been a wonderful experience.

Happy Sewing...

What a beautiful quilt. I am so impressed that it is your own design. It must be hard to give it away.

I love the way the plants curl protectively over your happy cat and the way his tail curls out into the border!
