Just what kind of fusible web do you like to use?
In the past I always used Wonder Under but recently
I've found that the paper and the web will seperate
before I'm done tracing.
I never liked the Steam A Seam. I don't think it was
the right product for my applique purposes.
Yesterday I gave the Heat 'N Bond Lite a try and I really
liked it alot. I had no problems while tracing my design.
It held up while I cut the pieces and fused nicely. After
cutting the fused shapes the paper released easily.
I've only had time to sew a little portion of my project,
but there doesn't appear to be any problems with glue
build-up on my needle.
So...which fusibles do you prefer...and why do you
like them?

I like Steam A Seam 2 Lite and Misty Fuse.

Heat 'n Bond lite is a glue sheet vs. the others are a glue web. therefore it is a little stiffer in the final project. If you press any longer than they say the glue is gone, disappeared. I find the webs easier. I think Steam a Seam 2 is great if you are repositioning (as in design as you go) but otherwise it isn't my favorite.
My experience with the Heat n Bond is that you must be careful if you want any "layering" it becomes quite stiff quite quickly.
I use a fusible web on it's own and when I need a paper backed I just press it between parchment paper and my fabric. you can draw on the PP and it stays put while you cut then releases just fine.
